Over the weekend, Richie and I traveled to Springfield, MO to attend the beard and mustache competition put on by the Queen City Beard and Mustache Federation. They raised money for Rare Breed Youth Services.
If I had blogged sooner, I’d be able to tell you about the various categories. But, laziness.
First up, the kids got involved. Because who doesn’t love watching cute kids doing wacky stuff?
Next up: Mustaches
Then there were the business casual beards
(A perfect Fu Manchu, and what I want Richie to look like when he’s older- yes, this guy had long hair)
The ladies got involved.
A beard made out of condoms:
Joey, from Richie’s club:
Natural, under eight inches
See the guy wearing the American flag suit? He’s seventeen. Pretty awesome beard for that age.
Please keep the Navy veteran off the mike. Thank you.
And my man’s category: Full Beard, Styled Mustache
Benny on the far right belongs to Joey (see above) and to our club
Richie didn’t win first place, but we have the trophy in our possession.
Here are more beards for your viewing pleasure.
This guy’s pipe blew bubbles
The couple that competes together stays together
St. Louis did have a competition, back in March. I didn’t blog about it because you dinks should have been there.
Beard on! And remember: little beards grow up to be big beards.
